ATLANTA – ONE Musicfest returns for the seventh year and it will take place at Lakewood Amphitheatre, on Sept. 10.
Headliner acts for ONE Musicfest will be Ice Cube and Erykah Badu. The reunions of Atlanta’s Dungeon Family and Organized Noize will take place including: Backbone, Big Boi, Big Gipp, Big Rube, CeeLo Green, Cool Breeze, Killer Mike, Ray Murray, Rico Wade, Sleepy Brown, Slimm Calhoun, T-Mo and Witchdoctor. Special guests will also appear, during their sets. Also, on the lineup: Anderson .Paak & The Free Nationals, Andra Day, A$AP Ferg, BJ The Chicago Kid, Busta Rhymes, Gary Clark, Jr. and Jazmine Sullivan.
Over the seven year existence of ONE Musicfest, over 60,000 spectators have attended from around the U.S. Alumni of the festival include: Janelle Monae, Kendrick Lamar, Lauryn Hill, Nas, Snoop Dogg and The Roots. Hip-hop, R&B, alternative and rock have been represented throughout the years. Attractions at this year’s festival will feature: 30 disc jockeys, artist village and graffiti walls. They strive to make each one better than the one of the previous year and over 20,000 are expected attend, for 2016.
J Carter, founder of ONE Musicfest, recently spoke of the event.
“We’re super proud of our lineup for 2016’s ONE Music,” he stated. “Everyone one comes out this year can expect a phenomenal show, an amazing selection of food, and unique offerings from talented designers and artists. Our seventh ONE Musicfest is going to be awesome. The best one yet.”
Billboard Magazine described 2016’s lineup ONE Musicfest as “one of the late summer’s mandatory activities for music lovers in The Peach State.”
Tickets for the ONE Musicfest went on sale, on Aug. 17. Tickets packages were made available such as: lawn seating, general seating, covered seating, pit+ premium seating, very important person (VIP) VIP box, and super VIP box. Tickets range from $35 to $345. They exclude surcharges and service fees. Assigned seating will be made available at the amphitheater stage only. Tickets can be purchased through their website at onemusicfest.com.
