Paula Poundstone to perform stand-up comedy at Florida Theatre

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Paula Poundstone is set to perform stand-up comedy at the Florida Theatre, on Feb. 16. Her tour begins on Dec. 31 at San Francisco’s Nourse Theater. It ends on July 6 at Stone Mountain Arts Center in Brownfield, Maine. She is an actress, comedienne and writer.
In 1998, Poundstone was a panelist on NPR’s “Wait, Wait…Don’t Tell Me” with Peter Sagal.
Poundstone appeared in the film, “Hyperspace”. She was the voice for “Forgettable Paula” in the Disney/Pixar animated motion picture, “Inside Out”.
Television works Poundstone appeared in were the following: “Reasonable Doubts”, “Cybill”, “Wanda Sykes Presents Herlarious” and “The Paula Poundstone Show”. She provided voiceover work for the following: “Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman”, “Adventures from the Book of Virtues”, “Hercules”, “Science Court” and “Home Movies”. She was a guest on: “Last Night with Stephen Colbert”, “CBS Sunday Morning”, “Carson Daly”, “Nerdist with Chris Hardwick”, “Weekend Edition” and “Puzzle Master” and others.
As a writer—Poundstone wrote the television movies, “Poison” and “Paula Poundstone: Look What the Cat Dragged In”. She wrote the television movie documentary, “Cats, Cops and Stuff”. She was the writer of five episodes of the television series, “Home Movies”. She wrote two books, “There’s Nothing In This Book That I Meant To Say” and “The Totally Unscientific Study of the Search for Human Happiness”.
