ORLANDO, Fla. – Puscifer fourth round of their Money Shot tour will include one stop at Bob Carr Performance Arts Center, on Nov. 1. The trek’s special guest will be Luchafer. The expedition will begin at Aftershock Festival in Sacramento, Calif., on Oct. 23. It will conclude at Jackson Hall at the Tennessee Performing Arts Center in Nashville, Tenn., on Nov. 5. They will be promoting the album, “Money Shot”.
Most recently, the lineup of Puscifer consists of: Maynard James Keenan (vocals), Carina Round (vocals, guitar, banjitar, tambourine), Mat Mitchell (lead guitar), Paul Barker (bass), Jeff Friedl (drums, samples) and Mahsa Zargaran (keyboards, samples, guitar, backing vocals). Their roots are from the Verde Valley in northern Ariz. and they are part of the Puscifer Entertainment roster.
Since 2007, Puscifer has released seven music projects including: “Don’t Shoot the Messenger”, “V is for Vagina”, “V is for Viagra. The Remixes”, “C” is for (Please Insert Sophomoric Genitalia Reference Here)”, “Conditions of My Parole”, “Donkey Punch the Night” and “Money Shot”.
“Money Shot” was released on Oct. 30, 2015. The ideas for the song grew from the collaborations of Keenan and Mitchell, three years in the making. It was recorded in two locations including a North Hollywood, Calif. studio and “the bunker” of Keenan’s Ariz. winery known as Caduceus Cellars. Before the grapes were harvested, the music project was mixed and mastered.
“I was already versions of myself of prior projects,” Keenan stated. “And then to have to kind of create a third version of me…. I’m no longer having to reinvent myself. I’m settling into what I know, rather than trying to reinvent and come up with something I didn’t know yet. I am just settling into me.”
Other collaborators on “Money Shot” consist of: Round, Juliette Commagere (keyboards), Devo Keenan (cello), Tim Alexander (drummer of Primus), Jon Theodore (drummer of Queens of the Stone Age) and Friedl (The Beta Machine).
Little is known about Luchafer. Through the previous rounds of Puscifer’s “Money Shot” tour, the masked beings have been the opening act. They dress up us Lucha Libre wrestlers, similar to those in Mexico and kick off the concerts with wrestling matches.
