Gainesville, Fla. - Raekwon’s “The Wild” Tour will be making a stop at High Dive, on July 28. His trek will begin on June 2 at Governor’s Ball in New York. It will conclude on Sept. 24 at Gas Monkey, in Dallas. His performance at High Dive is presented by Glory Days.
Raekwon is a hip-hop artist and from Staten Island, N.Y. He is part of the H2O Records roster.
Debuting on Wu-Tang Clan’s “Enter The Wu-Tang (36 Chambers)” in 1993—Raekwon’ verses could be heard on such songs as: “C.R.E.A.M.”, “Protect Ya Neck”, and “Can It All Be So Simple”. His first solo album was “Only Built For Cuban Linx”. It was released on Aug. 1, 1995, on Loud Records. After four days, it was certified as gold. It would go onto reach platinum status.
Discography of Raekwon consisted of: “Only Built For Cuban Linx”, “Immobilarity”, “The Lex Diamond Story”, “Heroin Only”, “The Vatican Mixtape, Vol. 1”, “The Vatican Mixtape, Vol. 3”, “The Babygrande Recordings”, “Only Built For Cuban Linx 2”, “Shaolin vs. Wu-Tang”, “The Tonite Show”, “Fly International Luxurious Art” and “The Wild”.
“The Wild” was Raekwon’s seventh studio album and released on March 24, 2017. It featured 16 songs including: “The Wild Intro”, “This Is What It Comes Too”, “Nothing” “Skit (Bang Head Right)”, “Marvin” featuring CeeLo Green, “Can’t You See”, “My Corner” featuring Lil’ Wayne, “Skit (F**k You Up Card)”, “M&N” featuring P.U.R.E., “Visiting Hour” featuring Andra Day”, “Skit (Bang Fall Down)”, “The Reign”, “Crown of Thorns”, “Purple Brick Road” featuring G-Eazy”, “You Hear Me” and “Bang Outro”. It was distributed by Raekwon’s own label.
“Even though today is a more digital single-driven world, I’m still in album mode and about doing great bodies of work,” Raekwon spoke of “The Wild”. “This record is about me stepping into the wilderness, and letting the kingdom know that that this is the wild.”
Tickets to see Raekwon perform live will range from $22 to $77 and prices exclude fees. The doors will open at 8 p.m. and the show begins at 8:30 p.m. Age limit to attend is for those 18 and older. Minors will need a parent or guardian to accompany them. No smoking will be allowed inside the High Dive. However, it is allowed in the Beer Garden. There will be an additional fee of $3 at the door, for those under the age of 21.
