Mavericks to host Reel Big Fish, Suburban Legends and The Maxies

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Reel Big Fish, Suburban Legends and The Maxies will skank it up at Mavericks, on Jan. 24. Their tour will begin on Jan. 12 at The Graduate in San Luis Obispo, Calif. and conclude at Catalyst in Santa Cruz, Calif. on Feb. 23.
Aaron Barrett is the vocalist and guitarist, Billy Kottage is the trombone player, John “Johnny Christmas” Christianson is the trumpeter, Ed “Smokey” Beach is the drummer, Derek Gibbs is the bassist and Matt Appleton is the saxophonist and provides vocal harmonies for Reel Big Fish.
Since 1991, Reel Big Fish have released eight albums. They have been featured in the film, “Baseketball” and their music was heard on three Rice Krispies commercials. They play 250 shows a year.

Vincent Walker is the lead vocalist, Chris Lucca is the trumpeter, Brian “Robot” Robertson plays the trombone, Brian Klemm is the lead guitarist and assists with vocals, Brad Polidori is the bassist and Edward Larsen is the drummer of Suburban Legends. Walker also plays the trumpet, guitar, acoustic guitar and keyboard. Robertson and Polidori assist with backup vocals.
Suburban Legends will be promoting their seventh album, “Forever in The Friend Zone”. The 14-track album was completely fan funded.

They are the self-proclaimed biggest band in Greenland and north western Europe. Their songs always have the top 10 spots on Greenland’s radio station and on the television network, G-MTV.

Sareth Ney is the entertainment journalist for A Quarter and Dream Pictures. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mass Communications and Center for New Media from Colorado State University-Pueblo. He is a former apprentice to master of horror, Clive Barker.
