Sareth-Fest Music and Comedy Festival celebrates six years with performances at Ragetone Manor and Smitty's Green Light Tavern

PUEBLO, Colo. – Sareth-Fest Music and Comedy Festival took place, from July 18 through July 21. Ragetone Manor hosted the first, third and fourth evenings. Smitty’s Green Light Tavern was the host venue for the second evening.
Panoramic Banana Hammock and Oathkeeper made their Sareth-Fest Music and Comedy Festival debut, on July 18. Stephan Wilson was unveiled as Oathkeeper’s new vocalist. They were followed by Retention and The Ragetones. Stand-up comedy followed with John Brown, Patrick Butkovich, Sareth Ney and Wu-Man Chu. Butkovich’s roast was followed and was roasted by the roasters of his choice, including Brown.

It’s A Trade Thing kicked off the second night of Sareth-Fest Music and Comedy Festival at Smitty’s Green Light Tavern, on July 19. They were followed by Scott “Scoot” Limardo and Nate Wilde Baptist. Baptist brought up Ney to perform a “self love song” he had written in community college. Hell’s Circus performed, shortly after. Dark Archetype made their inaugural performance. While The Dead End performed—guitarist and vocalist, Carlos Cochise Gomez, stood on Lewis Barela’s stand-up bass and strummed his guitar. During Calling The Fall’s set—lead vocalist, Dennis “Greezy D” Moore, programmed a wireless microphone. He began Calling The Fall’s set by Adam Perez’s soundboard and he sang his way to the stage. During Scrotus’ set, Moore became the drummer and Michael Neal provided the vocals through the wireless microphone.
Dark Matter and Voltaic made their first appearances on the Sareth-Fest Music and Comedy Festival bill at Ragetone Manor, on July 20. Vocalist, Jaryd Walker, and drummer, Jake Neales, switched spots for one song. Walker played the drums and Neales provided the vocals, as he moshed with the audience. Beneath The Floorboards returned with a new drummer, Joseph Johnson. La Junta Colo.’s, At Your Weakest, and Privus Lex came back for a second year. At Your Weakest’s lineup changed with a teenage drummer. Voltaic were the next musical act up. Despicable Dialects returned for the sixth year in a row, as they closed the music portion.
On the final evening of Sareth-Fest Music and Comedy Festival, The Mati-Ney Comedy Show took place at Ragetone Manor. Butkovich and Brown performed. Aaron Eades, Courtney Olson, Ney and Chu traveled from Fla. to take part. Eades and Olson brought family members from Trinidad, Colo. and Ark. to attend. Nathan Lund drove down from Denver to headline. It was Ney’s last stand-up routine at his festival.
