Sareth-Fest Music and Comedy Festival Pueblo continues for ninth year at Grind Haüs Café

PUEBLO, Colo. - Sareth-Fest Music and Comedy Festival Pueblo took place for the ninth year at Grind Haüs Café, from July 15 through 19.
The Assault Shakers made their Sareth-Fest debut and kicked off the festival on July 15, in front of a standing room only crowd. After a half hour break, Joseph Vigil returned behind his drums and performed with Michael Sword, as M.D. made their festival debut too. Dennis “Greezy D” Moore provided vocals for Calling The Fall. After the performance, he switched to drums for Scrotus. Mosh pits formed, during Calling The Fall and Scrotus. So much so, one audience member had to take cover to a safer side of the venue. Andrew VanDeGrit hosted the open mic. There was a combination of music and poetry. It featured: Kaleido, Tate, George, Lorelai, Morgan Cox, Xenon, Austin, Molly and Javier.

Paintings fell from opposite walls, during Panpsychism. For Sonic Vomit and Beneath The Floor Boards, a donation jar was passed around the crowd afterwards. Every dollar donated after Beneath The Floor Board’s show was donated to Diego Rodriguez, vocalist/firefighter, and the Pueblo Fire Department. Hell’s Circus wrapped the second night of festivities.

George and Kaleido returned for the second open mic at Sareth-Fest, on the third date. Wu-Man Chu hosted Loose Leaf – A Storytelling Show. He told stories along with Curvy Red Gurl, John Brown and Leslie Fox. Brown, Curvy Red Gurl, Fox and Wu-Man Chu attempted to form a brand new set with High & Dry Comedy Show. Curvy Red Gurl, John Brown and Sareth Ney had 10 minutes each for stand-up comedy. Taylor Cardinal told some jokes for a surprise guest set and Xenon sang some more songs, during the final intermission of the day.

DJ Roy Rumble spun records and showed off new technology on a vinyl record, for the fourth evening. After putting his equipment away, he assisted Ney with rotating the banner. They roasted his movie, “The Insomniacs”. Russ Hayes continued the music with progressive house. Spectators were in a trance. Halfway through, the Sareth-Fest Fashion Show took place and Ney modeled clothing.

Scott “Scoot” Limardo, It’s A Trade Thing and MRock of Despicable Dialects closed the festival. They have been part of the festival, since resuming in Colo. During the last song of Despicable Dialects, MC Wordchurch called and interrupted the instrumental. He stated he was moving back from Okla. in Oct.
