LOS ANGELES – Shriekfest, The Los Angeles Horror/Sci-Fi Film Festival & Screenplay Competition, is accepting submissions for the annual event. Original films and screenplays will be considered for the following five categories include: narrative feature, narrative short, narrative super short, feature screenplay and short screenplay. Prizes will be awarded to the five categories too. It will be celebrating 17 years of existence. It will take place from Oct. 5 through Oct. 8. Raleigh Studios will be hosting it.
“We are already planning some exciting things for our Sexy and 17th year!”, Denise Gossett, festival founder and director of Shriekfest states. “Last year’s festival was a great success. We had our biggest audience yet, with a 20% increase over the previous year and more than 35 filmmakers in attendance.”

ABOUT THE AUTHOR
Sareth Ney is the journalist for A Quarter and Dream Pictures. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mass Communications and Center for New Media from Colorado State University-Pueblo. He is a former apprentice to master of horror, Clive Barker. He is a Wu-Tang Clan inspired superhero, Wu-Man Chu.
