SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – Sioux Falls Sno Jam will be taking place from Feb. 16 through Feb. 18, in multiple venues throughout the city. The venues are Fenson on 8th, Total Drag and Marson’s Wacko Comedy Club & Event Center. 30 comedians will be selected to perform in stand-up and themed settings. The net proceeds of the event will be donated to the Special Olympics of South Dakota.
Submissions by comedians will be accepted until Dec. 16, at midnight Central Time. The fee is set at $20.00, there is a $1.09 fee and will not go up as the date approaches. Accepted major credit cards are: American Express, Visa, Mastercard and Discover. Paypal and bank accounts can be used too. Fees are non-refundable.
Those selected to perform at Sioux Falls Sno Jam will be announced on or around Jan. 1. They will be notified by e-mail. Those submitting material for consideration are requested to send a link showing five minutes of a continuous set, via YouTube or Vimeo.
Those chosen to take part in the inaugural Sioux Falls Sno Jam will be responsible to cover their travel expenses. A hotel room will be provided with a fellow comedian. If one chooses to stay alone or with their own guest, the comic must cover the costs. Food and drink will also be provided by the festival. There will also be food and drink on-site and the comedian pass must be presented, in order to receive discounts from 20% to 50% off the purchase.
Perks of performing at the first ever Sioux Falls Sno Jam consist of: bragging rights, networking with comedians from across the country and around the world, expanding one’s market, performing on multiple stages and making new fans.
Booked performances have already been taken at Sioux Falls Sno Jam. For those selected to take part, each will perform two eight minute sets. The first will be a regular stand-up performance. The second will be a themed showcase (setlist, storyteller, etc.) and cannot be chosen by the performer. However, the festival organizers will do their best to accommodate their needs.
