JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Steve Hofstetter will be performing stand-up comedy at Jack Rabbits, on March 10. His trek begins on March 1 at The Laugh Factory in West Hollywood, Calif. It will conclude on Oct. 8 at The Laugh Factory in Las Vegas. He is an author, columnist, comedian and former disc jockey.
“Student Body Shots: More Sarcasm on the Best 4-6 Years of Your Life” (2003) and “National Lampoon Balls!” (2007) were the two books Hofstetter wrote. Publications he has written for include: colleghumor.com, Columbia Daily Spectator, Maxim, ESPN, Sports Illustrated for Kids, New York Times, SportsIllustrated.com and NHL.com. His written works were also syndicated through a variety of newspapers. After he co-founded “Sports Jerk of the Week”—he received press from the following outlets: USA Today’s Baseball Weekly, Sports Illustrated and CNN.
As a comedian, Hofstetter released six comedy albums including: “Tastes Like Bliss”, “Cure for the Cable Guy”, “Dark Side of the Room”, “Steve Hofstetter’s Day Off”, “Pick Your Battles” and “Ginger Kid”. “Cure for the Cable Guy” peaked at #20 on the Billboard comedy charts. “Dark Side of the Room” was coined as the “first ever pay-what-you-want” comedy album. “Steve Hoftetter’s Day Off” was improvised. “Pick Your Battles” reached #1 on the iTunes comedy charts.
Television appearances for Hofstetter include: “Quite Frankly”, “Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson”, “White Boyz in the Hood”, “Countdown”, “On the Road in America”, “Campbell Brown”, “Comics Unleashed”, “E! True Hollywood Story”, The Daily Buzz”, “Attack of the Show”, “Barbara Walter’s Special” and more. He was the segment producer for “Dish Nation” and appeared in Adam Carolla’s film, “Road Hard”.
During Hofstetter’s disc jockey days, he was the host of “Four Quotas” on Sirius Satellite Radio. After being on air for two seasons, he was the host of “Sports Minute (Or So)” and was syndicated on over 170 stations and 30 newspapers.
Online impressions for Hofstetter consist of 200,000 friends on Facebook, 400,000 friends on MySpace and over 60 million views on YouTube. Every year, he goes on tour. He performs at 100 colleges and a large number of comedy clubs throughout the country. Currently, he is the host and executive producer of Fox’s “Laughs”. He is also the senior comedy correspondent on Fox Sports and the host of “Trial By Laughter” on Comcast.
