LAS VEGAS – Satellites for 2017’s The World Series of Comedy were announced to take place at various venues and dates throughout the U.S. The main event takes place from Sept. 25 through Sept. 30. 2017 will mark the eighth year of the festivities.
From Feb. 15 through Feb. 18, Comedy Girls Las Vegas in Las Vegas will be the host. From March 8 through 11, The Comedy Palace in San Diego will be next. The Comedy Catch in Chattanooga, Tenn. will be the place, from April 5 through April 8. Sacramento, Calif.’s Laughs Unlimited will welcome comedians, from April 19 through April 22. Stitches Comedy Club in Lancaster, Pa. will hold theirs, from May 3 through May 6. Loonees Comedy Corner’s will be set for the comics in Colorado Spring, Colo., from May 17 through May 20. Zanies Rosemont in Rosemont, Ill. is the venue to be at, from June 7 through June 10. Liquid Laughs in Boise, Idaho will be the establishment, from June 21 through June 24. McCurdy’s Comedy Theatre and Humor Institute in Sarasota, Fla. is set for July 5 through July 8. Boston’s Laugh Boston’s satellite date is July 19 through July 22.
There are three ways to enter The World Series of Comedy in Las Vegas, after registering: submit a video for the main event, send in a video and choose a satellite or enter a video and choose a satellite and a sub-satellite. Once a comedian registers, they are registered for the main evet, participate in networking events and seminars. Even if they were not chosen as one of the 101 comedians to perform in the competition, they are invited to take part in the activities.
