Tommy Davidson to grace the stage of the Orlando Improv

ORLANDO, Fla. – Tommy Davidson will be performing two comedy sets on two different dates at the Orlando Improv, on Nov. 24 through Nov. 25. He is an actor, comedian, fashion designer and writer.
Davidson started performing stand-up comedy in Washington. After performing at several comedy clubs and developing a following, a major concert promoter discovered him. He was the opening act for Patti LaBelle, Kenny G and Luther Vandross. He met Robert Townsend at Comedy Act Theatre and his acting career began.
Television programs Davidson consisted of: “CBS Summer Playhouse”, “Kid ‘n’ Play”, “Roc”, “The Commish”, “Martin”, “A Cool Like That Christmas”, “In Living Color”, “Boston Common”, “Between Brothers”, “Cousin Skeeter”, “Malcolm & Eddie”, “The Wonderful World of Disney” “The Proud Family Shorties”, “The Scream Team”, “MADtv”, “The Bernie Mac Show”, “Everybody Hates Chris”, “Pimp 24/7”, “Real Husbands of Hollywood” HusHand “Sharknado 4: The 4th Awakens”. He also provided voiceover work for: “Duckman: Private Dick/Family Man”, “The Ren & Stimpy Show”, “Happily Ever After: Fairy Tales for Every Child”, “Lilo & Stitch: The Series”, “The Proud Family Movie”, “The Proud Family”, “Youngin’s” and “Black Dynamite”. Comedy specials included: “On Strength From New York”, “Illin’ in Philly”, “Takin’ it to DC” and “Chocolate Sundaes”. “In Living Color” was presented the “Groundbreaking Award” by TV Land. It was delivered by Whoopi Goldberg. On Oct. 1, 2016—his television series, “Vacation Creation”, premiered on the CW Network. Along with Andrea Faczco, the show presented the viewers several exotic locations around the world.
Films Davidson could be seen in were: “Strictly Business”, “Ace Venture: When Nature Calls”, “Booty Call”, “Plump Fiction”, “Woo”, “Pros & Cons”, “Bamboozled”, “Juwanna Mann”, “Funky Monkey”, “Black Dynamite”, “Dance Fu”, “Who Killed Soul Glow?”, “Dying Laughing”, “Womack/Sleep N’Eats”, “I Am Comic” and “Enter the Fist and the Golden Fleece”.
