ORLANDO, Fla. – Wax’s The Cookout Chronicles Tour will be making a tour stop at Señor Frogs, on Dec. 14. He is on tour with DJ Skitz and The Palmer Squares. They are currently on tour and their next show will be at the Marquis Theater in Denver, on Nov. 23. The trek will conclude at Ottawa Tavern in Toledo, Ohio, on Jan. 20.
After watching MTV at three years old, Wax wanted to make music. From 2000 to 2005, he was the guitarist and leader of MacGregor. Along with his brother, Herbal T, they made videos and uploaded them to YouTube. His music video for “Rosana” reached millions of views. Def Jam took notice of the millions of views he had on YouTube and they offered him a recording contract, in 2011. He and the label parted ways with each other. He has a weekly podcast.
DJ Skitz is a disc jockey and hip-hop producer from London. During the span of his career, his releases includes: three albums, 16 singles and EPs, two compilations and one DJ mix.
Records DJ Skitz was known for were: “Countryman”, “Homegrown (Vol. 1)” and “Sticksman”. “Homegrown (Vol. 1)” was one of the compilations, along with “Homegrown Vol. 2”. “Badmeaninggood Vol. 1” was the DJ mix. For his singles, he collaborated with: Roots Manuva, Rodney P, Julie Dexter, Aquasky, Dynamite MC, Tali and more.
Acumental and Terminal Knowledge are known as The Palmer Squares. They are a hip-hop group from Chicago and are part of the Stank Face Records roster. They are influenced by themselves and other people. Their most recent album, “Planet of the Shapes”, is available for digital download. They have three other albums, a mixtape, two extended plays (EP), compilation album and multiple singles: “The New Hotness”, “Lonesome Rhodes”, ‘Cassius Clay”, “Blind Moles”, “Duke Westlake Cypher”, “Namesake”, “Homegrown”, “Broken Language”, “Engelbert Humperdinck” and “Hollyweird”.
Porch Records is the presenter of Wax’s The Cookout Chronicles concert at Señor Frogs. It is produced by Scotch Irish. The doors
will be opening at 7 p.m. and it is set to begin at 8 p.m. Tickets range from $13 to $15 each and it is general admission. The tickets do not include delivery charges and service fee.
