DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – Welcome To Rockville is celebrating ten years and will be taking place at Daytona International Speedway, from May 8 through May 10. Metallica is set to perform two unique sets on May 8 and May 10. Welcome To Rockville is produced by Danny Wimmer Presents (DWP). There will be three stages and the lineup is subject to change.
Joining Metallica at Welcome To Rockville on May 8 will be: Bones UK, Brass Against, Brutus, City Morgue, Deftones, Dinosaur Pile-Up, Dropkick Murphys, Ego Kill Talent, Ghostemane, Killstation, Knocked Loose, Motionless In White, Rancid, Royal Blood, Social Distortion and Zero 9:36.
For May 9’s lineup, the bill consists of: 3Teeth, Alter Bridge, Bad Wolves, Brkn Love, Disturbed, Hellyeah, Hollywood Undead, Jinjer, Joyous Wolf, Lamb of God, New Years Day, Power Trip, Staind, The Darkness, The Offspring, The Pretty Reckless, Toothgrinder and an act to be announced.
Metallica will be joined on the following, on May 10: Agnostic Front, Airbourne, Anthrax, Code Orange, Counterfeit., Dance Gavin Dance, Fire From The Gods, Godsmack, Goodbye June, Gojira, Hero The Band, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Mastodon, Of Mice & Men, Sick Of It All, Sleeping With Sirens and Stitched Up Heart.
“As a lifelong fan, it was an overwhelming experience to attend Lynyd Skynyrd’s final hometown show at a sold-out stadium (TIAA Bank Field) in Jacksonville in September of 2018. Lynyrd Skynyrd is a band that has known tragedy and responded with nothing but triumph for over 50 years. They defined Southern rock, and they were a definitive part of my own rock n’ roll education growing up in Jacksonville,” says Danny Wimmer, founder of Danny Wimmer Presents. “After nine great years in Jacksonville, it was a difficult decision to move Welcome To Rockville to a new home – but it was a necessary decision for the festival to continue to grow and deliver the kind of experience that Florida’s rock fans deserve. I’m so humbled and honored that Lynyrd Skynyrd is coming with us to Daytona Beach to celebrate 10 years of Welcome To Rockville with their last-ever North Florida area show.”
Welcome To Rockville partners include Monster Energy, FYE, Jack Daniel’s Tennessee Whiskey, Jose Cuervo Tequila, Three Olives Vodka, Kraken Black Spiced Rum, The Music Experience, Demons Behind Me, Ernie Ball and ESP Guitars.
