White Lion Restaurant & Pub singer/songwriter competition quarterfinals: round one

ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. - White Lion Restaurant and Pub hosted the first quarterfinal round for 20 singer/songwriters, on Sept. 4. 19 of the 20 contestants were present. Amy Hendrickson hosted and mentioned the top 10 artists would advance to the semi-finals, on Sept. 17. Competitors performed two songs each. She went onto thank the judges for volunteering their time, the sponsors, the competitors and spoke of the grand prize package.
The first half participants included: Zach Lively, Nesta, Emma, Jesse Montoya , Miles Mosher, Robbie Litt, Mike Cook, Elisabeth Williamson, Sheila Fay and Alex Peramas.
“Strange Narcotic” and “What A Drag (Race)” were part of Lively’s set. “Come Out To Play” and “Cool Story” were part of Emma’s set. “Ashtray For Two” and “Owls” were part of Montoya’s set. “Blood Red Moon Swells” and “Morning Dew” were part of Mosher’s set. “Take Me Back” and “Take Me For A Ride” were part of Litt’s set. “Early Evening” and “I Hate To Tell You” were part of Cook’s set. “Enchanted” and “Let’s Go For A Ride” were part of Williamson’s set. “Morning Woke Me Up” and “I Live On An Ocean” were part of Fay’s set. “The Deep End Of Love” and “Mon Chérie Bon Apétite” were part of Peramas’ set.
Caleb Joye, Tyler Bergeron, Raychill Muller, Free Gordon, Josh Stine, Rob Langston, Sandy Knapp, Larry Langston and Jack Nostrand kicked off the second half.
“Finalized” and “Prove Me Wrong” were part of Joye’s set. “Set Your Mind Free” and “Long Gone” were part of Bergeron’s set. “Lamplight” and “Dissect” were part of Muller’s set. “Who You Are” and “Every Time You Fall” were part of Gordon’s set. “Better Days” and “Find My Way” were part of Nesta’s set. “The good Artist Starve” and “The Devil” were part of Stine’s set. “Devil’s Back Alley” and “Dark Side Of The Road” were part of Rob Langston’s set, “Directions” and “Shield For My Heart” were part of Knapp’s set. “Florida Redneck Girl” and “Front Porch “Picker” were part of Jack Langston’s set. “Oh Lord, Lead Me Into My Heart” and “Betsy” were part of Nostrand’s set.
Between most each of the acts, Hendrickson and spectatirs entertained the crowd by telling jokes. After the judges came to their decision, she announced the ten finalists moving onto the semifinals and they were: Peramas, Bergeron, Rob Langston, Litt, Muller, Williamson, Larry Langston, Knapp, Joye and Cook.
