Winter Blackout 2016 set to electrify the House of Blues

ORLANDO, Fla. - Winter Blowout 2016 tour is set to light up the stage at the House of Blues, on Jan. 30. This year’s lineup includes The Expendables, Zach Deputy and The Hip Abduction. The tour will begin on Jan. 8 at Fox Theatre in Boulder, Colo. and will conclude on Feb. 6 at The NorVa in Norfolk, Va.
Geoff Weers is the guitarist and vocalist, Adam Patterson is the drummer and backup vocalist, Raul Bianchi is the lead guitarist and Ryan DeMars is the bassist of The Expendables. They are from Santa Cruz, Calif. Their genre of music is a mixture of reggae, punk and metal. They are a part of the Stoopid Records roster. They have released five albums total and have a new single, “Zombies in America”, available now.
Zach Deputy plays the guitar and provides the vocals. He is from Bluffton, S.C. and is part of the Deputy Records roster. His music is described as a mixture of jam band, funk and soul. For the six last days of the Winter Blackout Tour, he will be accompanied by his full band called Zach Deputy and The Hashtags.
Deputy’s last album, “Another Day”, was released in 2011 and was with Eusionia Records.
David New is the vocalist, Pat Klemawesch is the guitarist, Kora is the percussionist, Chris Powers is the bassist, Dave Johnson is the baritone and tenor saxophonist, Paul Chlapowski is the keyboardist and Matt Poynter is the drummer of The Hip Abduction. Kora and Poynter also assist with the backup vocals. They are an afro-pop/indie rock band from Saint Petersburg, Fla. Their album, “Gold Under The Glow”, will be released on March 11.

Sareth Ney is the entertainment journalist for A Quarter and Dream Pictures.
