DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. - Welcome To Rockville’s 10th edition took place at Daytona International Speedway, from Nov. 11 through Nov. 14. A total of 161,000 people attended.
Danny Wimmer Presents (DWP) 2021 festival season brought in 500,000 fans to four events. Welcome To Rockville was the last time to see Metallica perform two different, unique sets. Metallica celebrated the 30th anniversary of their “Black Album” and performed it in full, on Nov. 14. Danny Wimmer bestowed them with a $25,000 check to their foundation, All Within My Hands.
Slipknot presented their new song, “The Chapeltown Rag”, outside of Knotfest. Disturbed displayed some of their biggest hits. Lynyrd Skynrd had their final set in north Fla., in their 50 year history. GWAR celebrated 30 years by performing “Scumdogs of the Universe”. Mastodon’s first performance took place after releasing the album, “Hushed and Grim”. Host and metal ambassador, Jose Mangin, appeared on stage with Ice Nine Kills and reenacted a lyric of “Hip To Be Scared”.
Staind, Cypress Hill, Gojira, Rob Zombie and dozens more were on the bill. "That Space Zebra Show” on DWPresents On Twitch channel included exclusive interviews and behind the scenes content. 1.2 million views and 10.9 million minutes were via the first live stream on the DWPresents On Twitch channel. It was the first time DWP live streamed some of the performances.
During the live stream and in person, the headliners were announced for 2022: KISS (May 19), KOᴙN (May 20), Guns N’ Roses (May 21) and Foo Fighters (May 22). The rest of the lineup are announced in Dec.
“We knew we had to do something massive to follow the biggest Welcome To Rockville in history so we went out and
got rock legends Guns N’ Roses, newly inducted Rock & Roll Hall of Famers Foo Fighters, (you wanted the best, we got
you the best) KISS and DWP’s most requested band, KORN,” says Danny Wimmer, founder of DWP. “We’re looking forward to breaking records at THE WORLD CENTER OF ROCK with you, see you in 2022!”

About Daytona International Speedway: Daytona International Speedway is the home of The Great American Race – the DAYTONA 500. Though the season-opening NASCAR Cup Series event garners most of the attention – as well as the largest audience in motorsports - the approximately 500-acre motorsports complex boasts the most diverse schedule of racing on the globe, thus earning it the title of World Center of Racing. In addition to eight major weekends of racing activity, rarely a week goes by that the Speedway grounds are not used for events that include civic and social gatherings, car shows, photo shoots, production vehicle testing and police motorcycle training.
